Over the past 8 weeks a group of 28 Westbrook High School staff have been keeping track of how many steps they have taken. This competition, which began on January 11th and was sponsored by the Westbrook Education Association, was a fundraiser for several good causes we have here in the school. Together, the staff walked more than 14.2 million steps and it was Mr. Whitehead, one of our Freshman Science teachers that lead the pack with more than 1 million steps. Each week a winner was announced and received $10 as a prize for haven taken the most steps. After the dust settled, the group raised $100 for the Christmas Bottle Fund, $100 for the WEA annual scholarship, and $100 for the Class of 2016. If you see any of the staff, thank them for their contribution to these causes.
