Today the Westbrook chapter of the Greater Federation of Woman’s Clubs held  their annual Art competition at the Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church. There was a record number of pieces entered into the event at a total of fifty three. The work was judged by local artists including Andy Curran, a former Westbrook Graduate and Linda Stanley, a former Art teacher at Westbrook High School. The judges spent over two hours deliberating to come up with the winning pieces.

All students put forth an amazing effort and were recognized their hard work. We would especially like to thank the students and families that were able to attend the event. Dr. Marc Gousse, Superintendent  of Schools was on hand to give his remarks and show is support for not only the Visual Arts Program, but recognized the amazing performances from our Music and Theatre Departments as well.

We wish to Congratulate the following winners:

Honorable Mention – Abby St. Clair

Third Place – Kim Do

Second Place – Dana LeDue

First Place – Janessa Corbett

Once again thank you to all of the students involved and also to the Westbrook Woman’s Club for hosting this wonderful event.
